CAD Drafters needed (1099 Contract role) (Lakewood)
Oil&Gas Engineering Firm
As a CAD Drafter for an Oil and Gas Engineering firm, you will be part of a Drafting and Design team that supports several individuals. Your primary responsibility will be to update and, in some situations, create new detailed technical drawings and plans that meet industry standards and client specifications. You will collaborate w/team members via MicroSoft Teams, emails and in person to ensure that the drawings are fully functional and compliant w/the CAD standards established. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to visualize and solve complex 2D drawings. Ultimately, your work will contribute to the successful execution of our projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 4 years' experience in a drafting role, preferably in Oil/Gas industry
Proficient in AutoCAD
Familiarity with Oil/Gas type drawings (but not required)
Willing to work, learn and/or teach
Willing to be a team member
This is a CONTRACT role- 1099
We are looking for Drafters willing to sign on for 3-to-6-month assignments with the possibility of extending the contract until the end of 2025. This also has the opportunity for those that excel at this position to be offered the same role in 2026 and or potentially become a full-time employee w/benefits: health care, paid vacation, sick leave, 401K, etc.
Hours:
You will be expected to work in the office Monday thru Friday- 8AM to 5PM- Flexible w/start times
Part-time work is available: Provide days when you're able to come to the office
There will be no weekend work
There will be no overtime unless prior approval from CAD Manager
Overtime pay is straight pay- We cannot pay overtime to contractors
